Welcome from the Principal

Welcome to St Philip’s Theological, Kongwa Tanzania. The College belongs to the Anglican Church of Tanzania under the leadership of the Primate of Tanzania. The College is situated under the slopes of the Kibolyani Mountain range about one-hour drive from the city of Dodoma, the capital of Tanzania. 

St Philip’s was founded in 1914 for the purpose of preparing church leaders for ordained ministry and lay senior leadership.

Since 1914, St Philip’s has trained hundreds of Church leaders from within the Country and outside.  The experience of more than 100 years makes St Philip’s the best College in the Country offering Theological education.

Wow! This is the best place for pursuing theological education and leadership training. I therefore warmly welcome all who want to study at our College or send students here, you will not regret for joining us or sending students here.
